Police arrested two young men, aged 18 and 19, on drug charges after they were stopped at a roadblock in Philadelphia on Wednesday November 30.
The men jumped out of their car and tried to run away, but officers apprehended them.
They found dagga on one of the men and 998 mandrax tablets in bags under the car’s passenger seat, said Table View police spokeswoman, Captain Adriana Chandler.
After the roadblock, more drugs were found abandoned near the roadside, including one bag of 1 500 mandrax tablets and two bags containing 100g of tik.
