■ More than 20 charities and community organisations met in Table View earlier this month for the West Coast Charity Network to discuss sharing information and resources, including surplus donations. “Instead of these going to the wrong people or just gathering dust, they can be distributed among the charities who will make sure donations go to the right people,” says Blouberg Rotary Club’s Alice Finch who started the initiative in 2010.
