Historical walk

At the Cape Town Family History Society meeting at St John’s Church Hall, in St John’s Road, Wynberg on Saturday November 16 at 2:30pm, Sigi Howes will give a talk, Girl Interrupted (with apologies to Susanna Kaysen): How a little German girl’s childhood was interrupted by the Second World War. That little girl was her monther, about whom she knew very little until after she died in 2017. Visitors are welcome, entry is R20. Refreshments will be provided. Animal Rescue charity drive
The Animal Rescue Organisation’s charity shop need stock of bric-a-brac, clothes, shoes, linen, household items, gardenware and furniture. They collect weekdays but can try to arrange for after-hours collection if necessary. If you want to donate, call 021 396 5511.
