Police arrested a woman for selling dagga and mandrax from her Site 5 house shop.
Officers had been doing routine patrols in the township at about lunchtime on Friday June 1 when a man had bolted after seeing them, said Table View police spokeswoman Captain Adrian Chander.
The officers chased the man to a shack where a woman let them in.
Captain Chandler said the woman was running a business from her home, selling sweets and raw chicken.
But when the officers searched the shack they had also found mandrax and dagga, which the woman had admitted selling, said Captain Chandler.
The 35-year-old woman was arrested and charged with dealing in illegal substances. She appeared in Cape Town Magistrate’s Court on Monday June 4.
