Air Kitesurfing

Bloubergstrands Joshua Emanuel will be hoping to use his home ground advantage to take honors at this years King of the Air Kitesurfing competition.

Kite beach in Blouberg will host this year’s Red Bull King of the Air Kite surfing competition later this month. The event will see 18 participants, representing South Africa (Josh Emanuel and Ross Dillon Player), the United Kingdom, France, Brazil, Netherlands, USA, Spain, New Zealand, Denmark and the Dominican Republic,  battling it out over 16 days. Kitesurfers will have to master the elements in an attempt to rule the skies, with the ultimate goal of being crowned King of the Air 2019. The event will take place from Saturday January 26 to Sunday February 10.
