It’s final showdown time for the 2022 Power Series at Killarney on Saturday November 19, the ninth and last event in what has been an epic roller-coaster ride.
For the top contenders, this is when points calculations and strategic finishes can decide regional championships; for everybody else, it’s about racing for pride, settling scores and having fun without worrying about the consequences.
It’s a full day of excitement for the fans as well, with races for the Thermo Fires Clubmans, the Alert Engine Parts GTi Challenge, the combined BEJO Trustees Fine Cars and Laude Classic Cars, the Pirelli V8 Masters and Kaltron Formula Supercars, and Formula Libre single-seaters.
Motorcycle racing fans get to enjoy all three two-wheeler categories: The South Superbikes/Superbike Challenge/Masters/600s, the Strato Technology Clubman Motorcycles/Classic Superbikes & Breakfast Runners and the Bridgestone Super Twin Cup 650 and Super Sport 300 Motorcycles.
Pre-book at Computicket or pay at the gate; qualifying starts at 8am and you get a whole day of world-class motor racing on two and four wheels for R80 for adults, R20 for pupils under 16 and free for children under 12; Western Province Motor Club members also get in free on production of their membership books at the gate.
If you purchase your tickets online, you will still have to collect the physical tickets, including the free tickets for children, at Computicket or outlets.
There’s ample parking all around the circuit, so take your beach umbrella or gazebo, picnic basket and cooler box, light up your skottelbraai, park next to one of our brick braais, or just pick a spot on one of our shaded grandstands.
There are outlets around the facility serving hot snacks and cold beverages – as well as children’s play areas, including the Kiddies’ Korner.
Spectators are free to move around throughout the day; grab a spot on the free shuttle service and watch the action from different vantage points. The pits are always open to spectators, so you can also see the cars and motorcycles up close.
