Cape Town Opera presents Twinkle, Twinkle and Little Stars – opera for babies and toddlers at Artscape.

Back by popular demand after the first sell-out performances earlier this year, Twinkle Twinkle was the second instalment in Cape Town Opera’s Opera Blocks series, and was held until today, Friday June 24, with the final show being at 3pm.

A fantastical experience was curated for parents and babies from birth to 18 months. With magical music, sets and lighting, Twinkle Twinkle introduces little ones to the wonderful theatrical world of opera in a calm and immersive environment.

Following from that will be Little Stars, created especially for little walkers from age 18 months to 4 years, from tomorrow, Saturday June 25, at 10am and noon, and on Tuesday June 28, at 11am, 1pm and 3pm. Exploring the magical world of theatre, Little Stars brings music, song and play together in an exciting and explorative way and in a mesmerising theatre space.

Sponsored by the City of Cape Town, these productions are directed by Elisabeth Manduell, with set and costumes by Cape Town Opera’s production team and lighting by Artscape’s lighting department.

Performances are 40 minutes and tickets at R240 each admit one parent/guardian and one baby, or one parent/guardian and one toddler.

Book through Computicket or Artscape Dial-A-Seat on 021 421 7695.
