An unidentified pedestrian was killed after a car hit him in Montague Gardens on Friday November 11.
Table View police spokeswoman Captain Adriana Chandler said the man, believed to be in his late 30s, had crossed the road at the corner of Railway and Station roads “without looking left or right” and ended up in the path of an approaching vehicle.
The driver had been unable to stop or swerve out of the way in time, and had hit the pedestrian who was dressed in dark clothing.
“The driver of the vehicle stopped to check if the pedestrian was injured, and contacted emergency services immediately. There was no identification on the victim, who succumbed to his injuries on the scene,” said Captain Chandler.
Milnerton police are investigating a culpable homicide case.
