Dams supplying Cape Town have dropped by 1.2% over the past week and are now 61.9% full, the City of Cape Town said on Monday.
The dams were 27.3% full at the same time last year.
Average citywide water consumption has risen by 9 million litres a day to 604 million litres a day for the past week of January 14 to 20.
