The second annual South African International Tattoo Convention takes place from Friday March 23 to Sunday March 25 at The Lookout at the V&A Waterfront.
There will be 80 artists at the show.
If you want to get a tattoo, you can pre-book by emailing the artist directly, before the convention, to start discussing the process, design and tattoo placement. Visit www.southafricantattooconvention.com to find the artists.
Walk-ups will also be welcome where you can find an artist at the convention and get small, quick sketches and pieces of work known as “flash” designs without needing to pre-plan or pre-book.
There will also be food on sale, craft gin and beer gardens.
The convention runs from 5pm to 9pm on Friday March 23 and tickets cost R195; from 11am to 10pm on Saturday March 24 and tickets cost R280; and from 11am to 9pm on Sunday March 25 and tickets cost R240. A weekend tickets costs R590 and includes a collector’s pin.
