The theme of the annual Reconciliation Day Interfaith Walk on Friday December 16 will be “Restitution and District Six”.
The walk is from 9am to 11am and participants are asked to meet at St Mark’s Church in District Six, off Keizersgracht at the top of St Mark’s Street, at 8.50am.
Speakers will be retired judge Essa Moosa,Nomvula Dlamini, director of the Community Development Resource Association and Horst Kleinschmidt, past director of the International Defence and Aid Fund.
The walk is supported by St Mark’s Church, Al Azhar Masjid, District Six Museum, District Six Working Committee, Chapel Street Primary School, the Cape Town Interfaith Initiative, the Centre for Christian Spirituality, and Holy Cross Church.
