A local hair salon is doing its bit to fight cancer one haircut at a time.
Guida de Gois-Moller and William Roberts will be hosting a cancer cut-athon on Sunday July 28 at the William Roberts Hair Studio at the Blaauwberg Beach Hotel.
The profits will be split between the CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation and OneFM’s Ian Ward who is battling cancer. The cut-athon, from 8am to 8pm, is exclusively for haircuts only at R100 per person.
“No washing, no styling. Just cuts,” said Ms De Gois-Moller.
The whole family is welcome. Ms De Gois-Moller said they chose a Sunday so parents could take their children.
“It’s a great way to teach children about giving back, and that’s why we will also be asking schools in the area to come and support the event,” she said. OneFM will be broadcasting from the hotel on the day.
Haircuts will be done on a walk-in basis. For more information, call 021 556 2990.
