In light of the increase in cases of coronavirus (Covid-19) in the Western Cape, the MyCiTi service will operate only during peak hour periods.
The province has almost 300 confirmed cases.
As of today, buses operate from 5am to 9am and again from 4pm to 8pm daily, in line with the regulations relating to the national state of disaster.
Passengers can board and disembark at Atlantis, Melkbosstrand, Sandown, Porterfield, Table View, Wood, Racecourse, Woodbridge, Woodstock, Civic Centre, Waterfront, Omuramba, Adderley, Gardens and Century City. All other stations will be closed.
Buses will only be allowed to carry half of its passenger capacity. Buses and stations will also be cleaned regularly in line with Covid-19 requirements.
However, residents are encouraged to stay at home and only go out to get basic essentials, to access medical health or to go to work as essential service workers.
Commuters can also visit the MyCiTi website on www.myciti.org.za for regular updates; use the MyCiTi app.
