Police arrested a suspected drug dealer in Table View last week. According to Table View police spokeswoman Captain Adriana Chandler, officers caught the 46-year-old man on Tuesday May 5 with a bag containing 100 mandrax pills and 15.3 grams of tik.
Police arrested a 27-year-old man in Parklands last week after he allegedly assaulted a 25-year-old man. According to Captain Chandler, the suspect hit the victim with a baseball bat, then pointed a gun at him and threatened to shoot him.
“The victim managed to run away and escaped with his life. The assault shocked the victim, because there was no reason for the attack,” said Captain Chandler.
Police tracked down the suspect on Sunday May 10 and arrested him. He will appear in the Cape Town Magistrate’s Court on a charge of assault with the intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
