Police have arrested a man in Table View for allegedly making fake asylum and travel papers.
According to Table View SAPS spokesperson, Captain Adriana Chandler, police armed with a search warrant went to an address in Blaauwberg Road on Tuesday February 20, where they found laptops, falsified documents (asylum papers, blank South African identity documents, falsified passports and pay slips), stamps, various cellphones, fraudulent visa documentation, a book where transactions were captured and large amounts of cash.
A 37-year-old foreign national was arrested and the case is being investigated by the Provincial Commercial Crime Unit.
Police arrested four people after a woman was robbed in Milnerton on Monday morning February 18.
According to Captain Chandler, the woman was walking in Lagoon Beach Drive when a white Mazda stopped beside her and a man got out and pointed a gun at her.
He took her sling bag containing two cellphones, a laptop and other items then jumped into the car, which sped towards Table View.
“She noticed that there were two other males and one female in the vehicle,” said Captain Chandler.
Table View police later pulled over a car matching the description of the one used by the robbers.
Cellphones and other items believed to be the property of the robbery victim were found in the vehicle along with a gas pistol with a magazine.
