Two Chinese nationals have found themselves on the wrong side of the law.
The pair is accused of stealing a trailer at a warehouse in Montague Gardens on Thursday October 6.
Video footage from the warehouse ultimately led South African Police Service members to a liquor outlet in Strand Road, Bellville, where on arrival, they saw two light delivery vehicles offloading cargo.
A joint operation on Tuesday October 11 between SAPS Crime Intelligence, the Vehicle Crime Investigation Unit and Bellville SAPS, resulted in the arrest and the confiscation of alcohol worth R600 000.
The trailer, reported stolen in Montague Gardens, was ultimately found abandoned in Athlone.
The Two Chinese nationals, aged 27 and 36 were, arrested on a charge of possession of stolen property and are set to appear in the Bellville Magistrate’s Court.
