The countdown to the Red Bull King of the Air 10th edition is on with the world’s best big air kiters gathering on Kite Beach and soar to the skies as they compete for this year’s title.
An eclectic mix of riders will compete for the most prestigious title in Big Air kiteboarding when Red Bull King of the Air returns in 2022.
The event celebrates its 10th anniversary in South Africa this year and is scheduled to take place at Kite Beach in Cape Town on the windiest day between tomorrow November 24 and Friday December 9.
With an insane line-up of riders, including some young guns who are pushing the sport to new limits, fans can expect huge jumps, crazy tricks, and incredibly exciting competition.
South Africa will be represented by Jason van der Spuy, from Melkbosstrand, Luca Ceruti, from Langebaan and Joshua Emanuel, from Durban.
As the event date is 100% dependent on wind conditions, fans will be notified 48 hours ahead of event day when the wind is pumping and the stage is set for an unmatched experience.
An eclectic mix of riders will compete with the line-up also composed of the top three finishers from 2021; winners from the Fly-To Red Bull King of the Air satellite events, a host of video entrants as well as the winner of the newly introduced Porsche Golden Ticket, making for an exciting blend of past champions, well-known big air riders as well as some fresh new faces.
