Feeding frenzy

* Netcare Blaauwberg Hospital donated a fluid warmer to the Southern African Foundation for the Conservation of Coastal Birds (SANCCOB). Dr Natasha Ayres, Sanccob’s clinical veterinarian, said this will increase the level of care they can offer to their seabird patients. Subcutaneous, intravenous and oral fluids warmed to the correct temperature are often required to stabilise seabirds that are sick or injured.
